In loving memory of Irena Zofia Nadzieja of Hartford, Connecticut, who departed this world on November 5, 2024 at the age of 93. Irena Zofia leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiktoria Wolf and Ludwik Wolf; and her siblings, Kazimiera Wywigacz, Zygmunt Wolf, Henryk Wolf, Maria Zdunek and Helena Sliwinski.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ogorzalek of Coventry, Ben Nadzieja (Irene) of Rocky Hill and Sophie Farrell of Windsor; her grandchildren, Jennette, Jim, Chris, Rob, Ewa and Alicja; and her great grandchildren, Bartek, Weronika, Olivia, Ruby, Artur and Patrick.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial (43 Wethersfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cyril & Methodius Church (63 Popieluszko Ct, Hartford, CT 06106). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery (1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT 06002). A reception was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at 1936 Blue Hills Ave Ext, Windsor, CT 06095.
