Though Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vere O. Haynes; and her siblings, Fred Wallace, Samuel Sparrow, Patricia Smith, Carol Wallace and June Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy L. Dawkins of Hartford and Irvin L. Dawkins (Barbara Gant) of Ambridge, PA; her granddaughters, Tyesha of Hartford and Ciara Vaughan of Hartford; her significant other Vere'Siah Vaughan of Hartford; and her sister Ann Y. Wallace. She is also survived by nine nephews, five nieces, and a host of other close relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (280 Windsor Ave, Windsor, CT 06095). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
