He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Johnson, Sr. and Mandy Johnson (Davis); his brothers, Paul Johnson and David Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Johnson and Jimmie L. Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Gilroy Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas (Cynthia), Jamaine Johnson, Erin Johnson (Ashley) and Beverly Thomas Ruffin (Cleveland); his siblings, Willie Bell Johnson, Ethel Mae Wright, Tommie Johnson, Jr. (Valerie) and Johnnie R. Johnson (Elaine); his sister-in-law Nancy Hawkins; and his close friend Lewis Smith. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service. A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
