It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto Mendez of Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Mendez and Natividad Ibarrondo; and his brothers, Ismael and Miguel Mendez. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mendez; his sons, Gilberto Mendez, Jonathan, Wilfredo and Jose Ortiz; and his siblings, Edwin Cruz, Salvador, Luis, Angel Mendez, Carmen Rodriguez, Irma Capo, Elba Plaza, Marisol Martinez and Iris Ramos. He is also survived by grandfather and leaves behind ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
