He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Willard and Clara Willard (Bolio); his wife Rita Willard (Duquette); and his brothers, Everett, Carroll, Carl and Gordon Willard.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda BenMaor, Cindy Fagan, Ann Dube, Ernest Jr. and Glenn; his grandchildren, James Lavoie, Catherine Gleason, Adam Dube, Timothy Fagan, Christine Holt, Andrew Willard and Carley Willard; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Scarlett, Hillary, Chad, Raven, Hunter, Marissa, Sydney, Amanda and Jayden.
