He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Balf and Helen McGurk (Mayberry); his sister Mary Beth; his brother-in-law Peter Cenci; his brother Edward Barry McGurk; and his niece Susan Margaret "Meg" Cenci.
He is survived by: his friend Jodi Strait; his niece Mary Elizabeth Cenci (Sean Marshall O'Brien); his nephew Brett Holden McGurk (Gina McGurk); and also Leia Chon McGurk.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ahern Funeral Home (180 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT 06105). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
