He was predeceased by: his parents, José of Sousa and Eugenia (Conceição Cabral); and his brothers, Manuel and José. He is survived by: his close friend Maria Soares; his children, Connie Cabral (Michael Siekierski), Joe Cabral, Victor Cabral and Antonio "Tony" Sousa (Laura); his grandchildren, Josh Bard (Krista), Justin Cabral-Brophy, Chelsea Dolski (Shane), Jade Cabral, Breana Flaherty (Jesse), Jonathon Cabral, Austin Sousa, Ryan Sousa and Ella Mari Cabral; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Myah, Greylynn and Maverly; and his siblings, João, Maria, Enéz and Adelina.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home (1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (50 Kane Street, Fatima Square, Hartford, CT 06106). An entombment was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery (1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT 06002).
