He is survived by: his wife Thelma Hagar (Ferretti); his children, Melvin L. Hagar, Jr. (Joan) of Carey, IL, Michael G. Hagar and Joanne Uhlinger (Vernon) of Pomfret Center; his grandchildren, Adam Hagar (Kimberleigh), Megan Hagar (Clare) and Cheyenne (Mathieu Baker); and his great grandchild Scarlett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
