Shirley G. Ryan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley G. Ryan of Hamden, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas P. Ryan; her parents, Lester Goodrich and Esther Maxwell Goodrich; her stepdaughter Jane Ryan; and her sibling Gail Murch.
She is survived by: her children, Mark W. Whipple (Marilyn), Jeffrey S. Whipple, Jonathan D. Whipple (Ann) and Kimberly Sceggel (Jonathan); her stepchildren, David Ryan (Joan), Meg Ryan (Steven Howe) and John Ryan; and her sister Joan Robinson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hart United, Inc., 72 Washington Avenue, North Haven.
