She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert and Mary Hemingway, Sr. (Freeman); her husband Frederick H. Knudsen; her siblings, Lorraine Hemingway, Mary Narrow, Marion Coyle-Sullivan and Albert Hemingway, Jr.; and her granddaughter Melanie Knudsen.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen (Frank Lind) of Hamden, Beth (Rick Tramontano) of East Haven, Thomas Knudsen (Florence) of Hamden, Robert Knudsen (Kathleen) of Hamden and James Knudsen (Helena) of North Haven. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
