It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Carter (Hamden, Connecticut), who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis W. Carter and Catherine Carter (Shanley). He is survived by: his sister Catherine; his brother-in-law Lawrence Cowper of Milford; his nephew James P. Cowper (Denise); and his nieces, Rebecca C. Moe (David) and Elizabeth K. Jinks (Paul).

Memorial donations for the support of senior priests may be made to the Benevolent Association for Priests of the Archdiocese of Hartford, 134 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
