He was predeceased by: his father Frank ONeill; his brothers, John ONeill (Joan), Frank ONeill (Marie), Thomas ONeill and Danny ONeill (Susan); and his brother-in-law William McKiernan.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet ONeill (Anderson); his children, Ryan, Kevin ONeill and Kerry Satchwell; his children-in-law, Kristin ONeill (Vizvary) and Mark Satchwell; his grandchildren, James ONeill and Charlie Satchwell; and his sisters, Mary McKiernan, Patricia Viglione (David) and Nancy Hainsworth (David).
