We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2024, at the age of 93, Dorothy Frances Wilchynski (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Richard Wilchynski; and her parents, Stephen Ryzewski and Frances Ryzewski. She is survived by: her sister Beverly Boughton of North Branford; her children, Stephen and Karen; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Higgins (Brendan Higgins), Jessica LeClair (Ashton LeClair), Lauren Hajus and Claire Hajus.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home (3105 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (2819 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518).
