She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Hollis and Lillian Mooring Worsley; her stepfather John Worsley; her brothers, Johnnie Earl Hollis and James Hollis; and her stepbrother John Oscar Worsley.

She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Dawkins; her children, Pamela Green (Michael) of West Haven, CT, Anjanette Mays (Rodney) of Newark, DE, Demetria Hodge of New Haven, CT and Carlton "Jermelle" Dawkins (Chauna) of Hamden, CT; her stepchildren, Sidney Dawkins (Kim) of Hamden, CT, Cynthia Christopher (Wayman), Kim Garloff (Larry), Gwendolyn Bell (Anthony) and Charles Dawkins (Syline) of Hamden, CT; her stepsister Bidy Worsley of Bridgeport, CT; her goddaughters, Rose Evans, Gwen, Yolanda Moses and Teresa Spellmon; and her grandchildren, Jordan, Lil'Mike, Courtney, Cassidy, Caitlin, Christopher of Paige, CJ, Justin, Caleb, CaRon and Caden. She is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
