He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Porter and Frances Porter (Southworth); and his brothers, Ralph and Robert Porter. He is survived by: his wife Laura Porter (Shail); his children, John Porter (Karen) of Brewster, MA, Marjorie Porter (Dom) of Pomfret, CT, Keith Porter (Lisa) of Wallingford, CT and Elizabeth Craig (Roy) of Suffield, CT; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Gregory, Joshua, Brytnie and Daniel. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Those who wish may send memorial contributions to a scholarship fund which will be set up in Gene's name or the United Congregational Church of Haddam.
