We bid farewell to Richard Andreas Brauchler Sr. of Guilford, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 87. Richard Andreas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Brauchler and Elisabeth Brauchler (Reisz). He is survived by: his wife Val Jean; his children, Karen Davidovich (Wayne) of Killingworth, Heidi Perrone (Bob) of Madison, Linda Brauchler of Guilford and Rick Brauchler (Amy) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Ryan, Tim Davidovich, Alison Perrone, Megan Klein (Patrick), Stacy Perrone (Nate), Ema and Riley Brauchler; his sister Helga Guthy (Jack); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Clark and Diane Backues (Ermil). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Madison (9 Britton Ln, Madison, CT 06443). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Alder Brook Cemetery (375 Boston St, Guilford, CT 06437).
