He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Franklin Bloomer and Allene Cress Bloomer; his wife Leonor "Nona" Golay Bloomer; his son Mark Clifford Bloomer; his grandchildren, Katelin Qiao Bloomer and Jasper Tian Bloomer; his daughter May Hoyt (Jack); and his grandchildren, Skylar Cress Bartels and Wiley Wakeman Bartels.
His contribution to architectural education was recognized with the school's festschrift publication, Kent Bloomer Nature as Ornament.
