He is survived by: his wife Janet Kipphut Ainsworth; his sons, Colin Christopher Ainsworth of Guilford, CT and Kyle James Ainsworth; his daughter-in-law Naomi Ibtihaj Ahsan; his granddaughter Serene Amira Ainsworth of New Haven, CT.; and his siblings, Sharon Ann Hill of Woodstock, IL and Edward Jeffry Ainsworth of Maple Shade, NJ..
