She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Everton Gouveia and Marie Agatha Gouveia; and her sisters, Joycelyn Taylor and Patricia Gobin. She is survived by: her siblings, Trixie Glasgow, Evelyn Applewhaite (Osbert), Greta Jones (Brian), Bridget Jackman (Nigel), Peggy Persaud, Maxwell Gouveia (Inez) and Aubrey Gouveia; and her husband Barry M. Stratton. She is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, adult stepchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives including numerous cousins.
