He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter S. Post and Lucille Burge Post; and his brothers, Gary, James, Franklin, Donald and Johnny.

He is survived by: his wife Coleen Sexton Post; his daughter Bonnie Post Stanford; his grandsons, Deion and Ryan Stanford (Christina); his great grandchildren, Mason and Chloe Stanford; his grandchildren, Isabella, Hailley, Reese Campbell, Colby and Kennedy Jakan; his brother Albert Post (Penny); his mother-in-law Julia Banbrick Sexton; his brothers-in-law, Richard (Debbie Sexton) and Dennis (Laurie Sexton); and his close friend Darnell Aker.
