He was predeceased by: his parents, Asia Loftis and Lillian Loftis; and his stepson Matthew Casanas. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Loftis; his daughter Margaret Casanas; his grandson Matthew Casanas; his stepchildren, Willis "Doopy", Leon, Kenny Boykin and Holly McQuany; his children, James "Koko" Loftis, Peter James Loftis Jr. of Preston and Deirdre Loftis-Jenkins; and his stepdaughters, Carmen Casanas of Waco, Texas. and Ada Moore (James) of Waco, Texas.. He is also survived by 6 grandsons, 11 granddaughters and 19 great-grandchildren.
