It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merrillyn Starkweather of Groton, Connecticut, who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leon Ilewicz and Maria Ilewicz (Kaban); her daughters, Jennifer Cortina (Santo) of North Stonington, Joann Kerr of East Lyme, Lisa Starkweather of Stafford Springs and Lori Trueman (Scott) of York, ME; her grandchildren, Kevin Rukstela, Danielle, Frank Cortina, Shannon Kopp, Arlene Corson and Sarah Starkweather; her great grandchildren, Isiah, Isabella, Dean, Ian, Alexa, Chloe, Estelle and Quinn; her brother John Ilewicz of Danielson; her husband Clifford Starkweather; and her grandson Aaron Dole.
