She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Hohlfelder; her parents, Robert Layng and Elanora Layng; her brother Delbert Layng; and her grandson Timothy Hohlfelder.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Hohlfelder II (Nancy), Cheryl Barrett (Josh) and Eric Hohlfelder (Monica); and her grandchildren, Josh, Nate, Ellie, Marlah and Jonathan. She is also survived by sister, 2 brothers and many adoring friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mystic Aquarium, Mystic CT, of which she was a founding member.
