He was predeceased by: his parents, Sampson Howard and Beaulah Howard; his wife Delores Bernice Hudson Howard; his son Emanuel Howard Jr.; his sisters, Mary Ann Howard Scott and Wilimenia Hazolten; his nephew Bobby Scott; his uncle Carl Brown; his siblings-in-law, Bessie Marshall and James Brown; his nephew Michael Marshall; and his close friends, Gerrie Monton and Donna Worthen.
He is survived by: his children, Vance Howard, Larry Howard Sr., Jerome Howard, Michael Howard (Ellen), Debbie Howard, Gaile Hilton, Dale Howard, Delores Jeter, Linda Howard-Grover, Sandra Pierce and Theresa Gaines (Derrick); his niece Karleen Briggs; and his brother Lonnie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
