He is survived by: his parents, Jeremey Hummel and Melissa Hummel (Russell) of Altoona; his brother Jonah Hummel of Ankeny; his cousins, Hunter Norris of Spirit Lake, ID, Onna Norris of Shawnee Mission, KS, Jaydon Hummel and Lexi Hummel of Monroe, IA; his aunts and uncles, Chad, Jo Hummel of Monroe, IA, Aaron, Angela Baldwin of Leawood, KS and Ron Norris of Spirit Lake, ID; and his grandparents, Wayne, Deb Russell of Panora, IA, Leonard and Brenda Hummel of Des Moines, IA.. He is also survived by friends, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moines Christian Church (4501 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Veterans at Rathbun in honor of Elijah's love of fishing and the outdoors.
