She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Richard Metayer; her sons, Richard Jr. and Franklin; her daughter-in-law Deney Metayer; and also Wayne Chapman.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dinoto Funeral Home (17 Pearl St, Mystic, CT 06355). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church (69 Groton Long Point Rd, Groton, CT 06340). A burial will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery.
