Barbara Colety Amatruda Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Colety Amatruda of Groton, Connecticut, who passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Colety and Alice Colety (McGrath); her husband Thomas T. Amatruda Jr. MD; her siblings, Joan Martin and Richard Colety; and her children-in-law, Lynne Morishita and Charles Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Amatruda III (Judith Axelrod), Katie Amatruda, Christine Amatruda (Eb Luckel), Elizabeth Howell and James Amatruda (Lisa Pon); her grandchildren, Jake, Kira, Evan, Madeleine, Kasaia, Georgia and Ted; and her siblings, John Colety and Julie Maisch. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (56 Sacred Heart Dr, Groton, CT 06340).
