With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patrick D. Mahoney Sr. of Groton Long Point, Connecticut, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 62. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patrick D. Mahoney Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
Though Patrick may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Patrick touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James C. Mahoney and Teresa Mahoney (Kelly). He is survived by: his friend Lesley Carroll; his wife Lesley Mahoney (Carroll); and his children, Grace A. Mahoney (Shannon), Olivia M. Mahoney (Nicholas), Madeleine A. Mahoney and Patrick D. Mahoney, Jr. (Arianna). He is also survived by his siblings and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave, Mystic, CT 06355). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church (69 Groton Long Point Rd, Groton, CT 06340).
