Though Veronica may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Schmitz. She is survived by: her daughter Alexandra Schmitz (Kurt); her niece Christine Labate (Philip); and her siblings, John Toner and Mary Robinson (John).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Parish or to the Greenwich Exchange for Women's Work.

“Alex, Christine, John and Mary - I'm so sorry for your loss. I've known Roni since Christine, and I were in 9th grade. She was always so kind to me and welcoming of me into her home. I remember one time when I slept over, the next morning she asked me if I wanted some grapefruit. I said "I don't care" (as a normal teenager would say) and she said "I don't care either"....and that was a life lesson for me that I realized I do need to make decisions. I know she loved her family very much. RIP”
