He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coughlin and Johanna Coughlin; and his daughter Patricia Coughlin (Patty). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith Coughlin (Brownie); his children, Sean (Karen) of Greenwich, Susan Bradbury of Darien and Brian (Paola) of New Canaan; and his grandchildren, Michaela, Lauren, Jack Coughlin, Trip, Lily Bradbury, Thomas and Fiona Coughlin.
