He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank John and Frances Elizabeth Partele Steinegger of Darien; and his sisters, Mary Donohue of New Fairfield and Frances Monahan of Stamford, Connecticut.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jane Hecker; his sister Dorothy Steinegger Church of Burlingame, California.; his children, Frank (Karen Steinegger), Claudia (Steven Dey) and Melinda (Robert Audet); his grandchildren, John Steinegger of Denver, Elisabeth Steinegger Anderson of Littleton, Sarah Audet of Los Angeles, William Audet of San Francisco, Malcolm Dey of Jacksonville, Lydia Dey of New York City, Peter and Heidi Steinegger of Darien; and his great grandchildren, James and Juliet Anderson of Littleton, Colorado..
