He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara McKenzie; his child Tess Bremer (Mark); his parents, Peggy Ekberg and John Paul Ekberg, Jr.; and his sisters, Marla Barbin (Ry), Susan Stiritz (Bill) and Jill Ryan (Ken). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the American Heart Association.
