He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy (Karp); his daughters, Debbie Schnur (Danny), Liz Newman (Steve) and Sue Ellen Gerber (Steven); his grandchildren, Sam, Max Schnur, Madeleine Kahn (Jona), Matthew, Allison Newman, Emily Shaw (McLean), Meghan and Katie Gerber; his great grandchild Asher Kahn; and his brother Joel Steiger (Carole Ann).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norman may be made in support of pancreatic cancer surgical research at Thomas Jefferson University.
