He is survived by: his friend Greenwich; his spouse Inga Thorenz; his daughters, Lynn Sawyer and Donna DiPietro; his son-in-law Peter DiPietro; and his grandson Daniel DiPietro.

Throughout the years he was honored with many awards but the most recent was The Covey Cup Foundation Certificate of Appreciation for his service in World War II.
