He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Gardner Pettee and Noreen Pettee (O'Connor); and his son Christopher Barnes Pettee. He is survived by: his pet Champ; his wife Ann Pettee (Brookfield); his daughter Victoria Pettee McGruder; his son-in-law Richard McGruder Jr.; his grandsons, Christopher John and Wesley Barnes; and his siblings, Joan Siegel and Daniel Pettee (Ellie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Although much of his retirement was spent at home due to Covid, there is simply no other place he would have rather been than with his wife, who he adored, spending quality time in the home they made their own over the past 43 years.
