He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lacafta and Louise Lacafta (Melvin); his wife Jean Lacafta (Martin); his son John Lacafta; and his sister Rose O'Connell.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Dykstra (James) of Fort Meyers, FL, Peter Lacafta (Leslye) of Bloomfield, William Lacafta (Susanne) of Houston, TX, James Lacafta (Dennis Burke) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mel Lacafta (Carrie Liquore) of Enfield, Dawn Marie Conde (Frank) of Granby and Joseph Lacafta of Wethersfield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
