It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward O. Alvestad (Granby, Connecticut), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Alvestad and Bergliot Alvestad (Mikkelsen); his sister Evelyn Bergliot Carlson; and his grandson Erik Simao. He is survived by: his wife Deborah M. Alvestad (Murak); his daughters, Tracie Rossignol (Andre) of Avon, Janice Lombard of East Granby, Dena Ferrell (Gil) of Mint Hill, NC and Barbara Ann Simao (Ed) of Charleston, SC; his granddaughters, Sarah Martin (Aaron) of Fairfield, CT, Krista Harris (Jeff) of North Carolina, Kate Stinson (Adam) of South Carolina and Audrey Rossignol of Avon, CT; his great grandchildren, Arabella, Casten, Madelynn, Harlow and Daniel; his niece Erika Douglas (Darren) of Canton; and his friends, Ed Montovani and Al Hunt.
