It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred J. Hunt of Granby, Connecticut, born in Simsbury, Connecticut, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Hunt (Dowd); his parents, Thomas A. Hunt and Bertha Hunt (Vincent); his significant other Martha Cole; and his brother Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Hunt of Northampton, MA, Kenneth Hunt (Jennifer) of Monroe, Katherine Carey (Peter) of Winsted and Cheryl Ripley (Steven) of Simsbury; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Shannon, Heather, Zachary Amanda, Erin, Miles and Christopher. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
