He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Kelmelis Schuster; and his parents, Janet Schuster (Kilbourn) and Herman G Schuster. He is also survived by two godsons, a large family of in laws, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
