He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Charla and Joseph Charla Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Oksana Charla (Okie); his children, Katherine of Hartford and Michael of Boston; his sisters, Patricia Charla Vail (Philip) of Southbury and Kathleen Charla of Mammaroneck; his nieces, Meghan and Kate Sundberg; his brother Joseph Charla (Mary Jo) of Larchmont; his nephews, Nick, Luke and Will; his mother-in-law Juliana Powch; his pet Sammi; and also, Irene Powch and Micah.
Diagnosed just before Covid 19 shut down the world, Tom often joked, "What great timing…at least I am not the only one stuck at home.".
