He was predeceased by: his wife Marie. He is survived by: his children, Linda Calvin Kern (Staige Kern) of Raleigh, NC, Steve of Westford, MA and Kate of South Glastonbury, CT.; his grandchildren, Ben Kern (Holly), Megan Kern and Jen Kern; and his great grandchild Brighten Kern. He is also survived by 3 sisters (Mary, Ruth and Maggie) and Kate's partner.
