He was predeceased by: his parents, George Herbert and Alice Shipman (Hollister); and his sister Nancy Shipman Coursey. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shipman (Bantle); his children, Doug Shipman of Wethersfield, Katie Shipman and Stephen Shipman of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Jessica, Peyton, Kilty, Maisie, Perry, Sunil and Naveen; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Owen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glastonbury Partners in Planting, the Historical Society of South Glastonbury, or the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury.
