She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scalise and Adeline Scalise (Marinelli); her siblings, Pasquale Scalise, Lucille S. Higgins and Faith Churchill; her son-in-law James Blake; and her sister-in-law Angie Butera.
She is survived by: her former husband Carmelo Joseph Butera (Joe); her husband Joe Butera; her children, Mary Anne Pescosolido (Peter), Theresa Blake, Joseph Butera (Lisa), Michael Butera (Malorie) and Tom Butera (Becky); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Schwert (Andrew), Marissa Blake (Kyle Faugno), Amanda Butera, Jake Butera (Kacey), Aurora Butera, Sam Butera, Luke Butera, Carmelo Joseph Butera II (CJ) and Rose Butera; her stepgranddaughters, Laura Pescosolido, Stacey Gonzalez, Kate Beckett, Ellen Rock and Karen McGuinness; and her brothers-in-law, John Churchill and Matthew Butera. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
