He was predeceased by: his parents, John McVey and Mary McVey; and his nephew Jefferey Tavares. He is survived by: his daughter Brienna McVey; his grandchildren, Ava Rose and Douglas Rose Jr.; and his siblings, Brian McVey, Mary Alys DiStasio and Colleen Baker. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
