He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Flynn (Finan); his children, Erin Flynn-Blair (Kevin), Marianne Michalek (Tracy), Patricia Hustus (Andy), Tom Flynn (Christine Rua), Jack Flynn (Lisa), Susan Flynn (Tom Kieselback), Elizabeth Scott (Jay), Dan Flynn (Xiaohong Chen) and Margaret Flynn-Khan (Donny); his granddaughter Alexandra Scott; and his brother William Flynn. He is also survived by his twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
