He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lester Lewis and Helen Peterson Lewis; his former wife Mary Lasselle Lewis; his children, Beth, Wendy, Pamela, Jenny, Heidi, Amy and Darrell of Georgia; his siblings, Harlan, Melvin, Peter, Kervyn, Charles, Lorraine and Frances; his significant other Gloria Sawyer; his former wife Helen Greczkowski of Glasgo, CT; his children, Chuck, Hank, John, Brenda, Roy, Camille, Clint, Barrett, Eddie, Mindy and Monique; his adoptive son Terry; and his pet Coco. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
