He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Hendrix and Clarence Hendrix; his wife Charlotte (Kaiser); and his sisters, Evelyn Marsh, Gloria Malumphy and Ellen Bickford.

He is survived by: his brother Lynn D Hendrix; his children, Cathleen Blasco, Wendy Waszczak (Libor), Beth Tyler and Loren; his grandchildren, Emily Hendrix, Mathew Blasco (Amy), Lisa Zobel (Travis), Allison Reiss (Alex), Ryan Tyler, Eric Tyler (Kirstin), Adam Waszczak (Kelly) and Patrick Waszczak (Jessica); and his children, Camden Zobel and Carter Zobel.
