She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Stanley W. Whipple; her children, Jay W. Whipple and Susan E. Traphagen; her parents, Joseph M. Saunders and Lexie M. Saunders; her children, James P. Whipple of Ledyard, David A. Whipple (Ruth) of Florida, Robert E. Whipple (Jody), Stonington, Lee E. Whipple (Shawn) of Lebanon and Gary Traphagen of Montville; and her sister Gladys Chase (Donald) of Waterford. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
