The passing of Alexander M. Rode of Gales Ferry, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 74. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Alexander may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Rode and Clarice Langiewicz; and his sister Margaret Steinbeck. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Armstrong; his children, Matthew Rode (Jenna), Josh Piper (Jen) and Cass Sandoval (Salvador); and his brothers, Greg Rode and Dick Rode. He is also survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and two brothers.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Byles Memorial (99 Huntington St, New London, CT 06320). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
