He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ayer (Holtz); his children, Debra Bayer of Ohio and Robert E. Ayer, III of Farmington; his stepchildren, Suzanne Senese, Carolyn LeGeyt of Canton, Jeanne Wheeler of Canton and Timothy Wheeler of Canton; his grandchildren, Jon Price, Joel Price, Alexander Ayer, Katrin Ayer, Timothy Wheeler, Courtney Wheeler, Burton LeGeyt, Benjamin LeGeyt, Angelo Senese, Cara McCormick, Kristy Lawless and Sara Ruark; and his great grandchildren, Adelaide Price, Nicolas LeGeyt, Natalya LeGeyt, Simone LeGeyt, Adalyn McCormick, Maelyn McCormick, Evelyn McCormick and Liv Lawless (Ottilie Mason).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to either the Farmington Fire Department, 1 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT 06032, or the Farmington Police Department, 319 New Britain Avenue, Unionville, CT 06085.
